Terms of service.
Sewer scope inspections are a limited visual examination of the accessible portions and/ or components of the
interior only surfaces of the underground service lateral and its components, hereafter referred to as the "sewer pipe". Inspections are restricted to a maximum scope length
of 120 linear feet from the point of access. While every endeavor is made, the report may not identify every aspect of the
sewer pipe components due to conditions such as, but not limited to; debris, standing water, blockages or other
restrictions. Sewer cameras by design provide a limited view of the sewer pipe. Video quality and result
interpretation may be adversely affected by pipe type (material), reflectivity, or other unforeseen factors.
Mainline Scoping LLC.(the Company) does not excavate other than required to access a minimally buried cleanout.
This report is based on observations made at the time of the inspection; it is for informational purposes only
and should not be considered a guarantee or warranty against the potential for or future issues relating to the sewer pipe, drainage, or other
issues affecting its functionality which may arise after the inspection. The Company is not responsible for damage to the sewer pipe
line due to failure of components during normal insertion or removal of equipment. The Company
its employees, inspectors or referrers shall not be held liable or responsible for the repair or replacement of
any failed or defective sewer pipe components or consequential damage or losses.
The client agrees that should there be any claim for failure of the Company and or its employees to fulfill its obligations, the amount shall be limited to an amount
equal to the Inspection fee paid, multiplied by two (2), as liquidated damages and not as a penalty, releasing the Company from any and all additional liability, whether based on contract, tort, or any
other legal theory.
The inspector does not move furniture or stored items that may be damaged due to liability issues. If the sewer was not inspected as requested due to furniture or stored items creating accessibility issues, the inspection fee will still stand and the property owner needs to contact Mainline Scoping LLC. at 937-768-9295 to schedule a new appointment time and pay the return trip charge of $150.
Access to a properly functioning and accessible cleanout is required to perform a sewer scope inspection. It is the responsibility of the property owner, buyer, or authorized representative to ensure that access to the cleanout is available at the time of the scheduled inspection.
In the event that a cleanout is not present, is inaccessible, or cannot be located upon arrival, and the inspection cannot be performed as a result, a $100 trip charge will apply. This fee covers time, fuel, and other associated costs incurred during the service call.
To avoid this charge, please confirm cleanout access in advance. If you are unsure about access or have questions prior to the inspection, feel free to contact us.
